Arrive Economic Update - Jan 2009

Although economic news continued to worsen, a rally in global share prices towards the end of the month restricted the fall in average Australian share prices over December to just 0.3%. In the worst calendar year for over a century, the Australian share market dropped 38.4% in 2008.
